If you're a runner, hiker, biker, or any other person with an active lifestyle, chances are you've probably got some tight hamstrings. That's because the hamstrings are a major muscle group in your legs that help extend you leg behind you and bend you knee... something you gotta do when you're doing all those active activities on your legs.
This video shares some myofascial techniques, in the form of self massage with props, to relax and rejuvenate your body. All you'll need is a ball to help break up some of that tightness.
Doing these exercises with long, slow, mindful breathing as part of your recovery practice can help loosen tight hamstrings. As an added bonus, you'll find calm in your mind too!
