8 Week Yoga Series

bring balance to your body, mind, and day

consistency + accountability = transformation

We're all aware of the benefits that having a yoga practice can bring. Things like improved mental wellbeing, flexibility, strength, and stress relief are top of mind.

Having a consistent yoga practice can help you...

  • be more flexible and not feel so tight… aka your back can move in all types of directions (front, back, side to side), without pain.

  • improve strength and do the challenging poses like shoulderstands, arm balances, or anything on one leg.

  • get better at being in the moment instead of going over your to-do list during a conversation with someone you actually care about

  • have more patience with those people that really push your buttons… like your co-workers, your “problem child”, or your well-to-do parent who tells you how to live your life because they have your best interest at heart.

As you might have guessed, random drop-in classes won't get you where you want to go.

Enter the
8 Week Yoga Series 🎉

The yoga series for busy people & people with active lifestyles that brings in the accountability and support to go from a sore, achy body and restless mind to moving with ease in mind and body.

I’ve taken what I’ve learned from 4 years of teaching, various workshops throughout my 14 years of practice, and training that focuses on making this practice more accessible with teachers like Judy Gudmenstad and Lynn Crimando.

All this is infused into my classes so you don’t have to go through the Google rabbit hole and all the modality switching to find what works for you.

The 8 Week Yoga Semester is more than a bunch of yoga classes. It’s a little oasis from your busy day that gives you the time and space to reset your mind, nourish the way you move, and relax.

You'll receive the benefits of yoga in a way that cultivates consistency so you can

  • move sure-footedly through trails and decrease your chances of falling because of improved balance and increased confidence in the way you move

  • have the energy and patience to not snap at the people you love after a long day

  • stay focused and think clearly instead of zoning out during a conversation or a drive to the grocery store

The all levels yoga classes in this program focus on building strength and flexibility in a balanced way.

We’ll move at a moderate to slow pace. Link breath with movement to help you feel energized. Settle into periods of stillness to notice how your body feels, see where your mind moves, and tune into something deeper than a good stretch.

These classes are intentionally designed to help you enjoy the way you move through the world for years to come.

Participating in a group setting gave me a different perspective [from private classes,] and was valuable both in experience and the financial investment. The options for using props and poses with more movement offered variety and a playful element which I enjoyed.

I continue to grow in a fulfilling way with Jessica's teaching style which fosters the development of the individual to trust their practice.

 8 Week Yoga Semester Classes

Active People

Depending on your energy level, you can choose to participate in one or both of the following

Active Recovery

Mondays
5:30-6:30 pm

Jan 24 - Mar 14

Bring your body rest and rejuvenation for all the activities you do: things like hiking, skiing, paddling, biking, etc. Balance out your body by strengthening muscles that aren't used a lot and stretching muscles that are overworked. Plus, you'll even out your energy levels by relaxing your mind and nervous system.

Expect a vinyasa style class that blends in myofascial release (self massage using props). You’ll have more awareness and control over how you move while targeting the knots that make your movement stiff.

Asana Journey

Wednesdays
5:30-6:30 pm

Jan 26 - Mar 16

This all levels vinyasa class provides various options and intentional use of props to help you play with your coordination and the abilities of your body. More energetic and heat building than Active Recovery, this class takes you on a journey by building on what you’ve learned from the week before.

The plan for the 8 weeks will be as follows:

  • Cow Face Pose (Gomukasana)

  • Wheel Pose (Chakrasana)

  • Forward Splits (Hanumanasana)

  • Side Plank (Vasisthasana)

  • Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III)

  • Revolved Hand to Big Toe Pose (Parivrtta Hasta Padangusthasana)

  • Bird of Paradise (Svarga Dvijasana)

  • Shoulder Stand (Salamba Sarvangasana)

Imagine what the world would be like if…

  • You didn’t wake up sore every day.

  • You could walk away from working at your desk without a tight neck.

  • You didn’t have to take a week off doing all the fun things because you’re recovering from your last ski trip.

  • Your energy levels felt recharged so you can run around with the kiddos (humans and fur babies alike) and enjoy giving them your full attention without wondering when you’re going to fit in your next nap.

  • You got time just for yourself instead of having to worry about your to-do list or the other people you care for.

That’s what we aim to achieve with the 8 Week Yoga Semester.

Every class I felt distracted and aches and pains when we began. By the end I felt calm, collected and relaxed.

Beth Little, Manager for early intervention services

Even though Jessica is physically located in Fort Collins and I am physically in Detroit, she provided inspiration and knowledge to get me back on the mat after a head injury. Through videos posted and modifications to the standard poses, Jessica gave me the tools to practice without fear. Jessica is truly passionate about what she does....and will share it with you!

A Note About our Pricing

As a way to make yoga accessible to the people who need it most, we're using sliding scale pricing.

You have the option to pick from three different prices based on your financial situation.

  • $177 SUPPORTER - If you would like to provide a $40 scholarship for someone in need.

  • $137 SUSTAINER - If you can pay the regular cost.

  • $97 COMMUNITY - If you would like to use a $40 scholarship.

To access the sliding scale:

If you're taking class online, please use the dropdown menu.

If you're taking class in person, please use the following coupon codes:

  • SUSTAINER to invest $137 for the 8 weeks and pay the regular cost

  • COMMUNITY to invest $97 for the 8 weeks and use a $40 scholarship

This program is for you if:

  • You want the accountability and consistency to practice weekly in order to feel change in your body, mind, and stress levels.

  • You have 1-2 hours a week to commit to your self care. If you have more time to do the replays or bonus practices that are included, that’s extra sprinkles on the cake… but definitely not necessary.

  • You’re an active person that wants to continue moving well past retirement. Active Recovery would be best for you.

  • You think trying your hand at something at the edge of your comfort zone is fun and enjoy exploring new ways of movement. Asana Journey would be best for you.

This program is NOT for you if:

  • You’re looking for a sweaty workout. The thought of moving slowly and noticing what your body does bores you or makes you jittery.

  • Trying something new or making small decisions gives you overwhelm. The mixed levels nature of the classes means that there will be a couple options for you to choose how to do a pose.

  • You can’t commit to showing up to class or watching the replays each week. You’ll get the most out of the semester if you’re consistent. Plus, the practices in Asana Journey build on each other.

✨ Our Guarantee

Sometimes things don’t work out. It’s nothing personal

If you show up to your first class and decide it’s not for you for whatever reason, you can choose to get a refund minus the price of your first class.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What's the difference between Active Recovery and Asana Journey?

Active Recovery uses myofascial release (self massage using props). We go over what you’ve done over the past week and focus on those spaces that feel really sore so you can shorten recovery time and continue doing the things you love. You’ll have more awareness and control over how you move while targeting the knots that make your movement stiff.

Asana Journey is just vinyasa yoga. Each week we move through a challenge pose that creates the building blocks for moving into shoulder stand at the end of the 8 weeks. You'll enjoy exploring movement and use of props to try new ways of getting into challenging poses.

How do I know which of the two classes is right for me?

Active Recovery is best for active people with tight, sore muscles. Asana Journey is best for people who want more movement to round out their day. Both classes allow students to move mindfully and relax.

Do I need to be really active to take the class?

While the classes are geared towards people with an active lifestyle, all people are welcome to come. This would be especially good if you wanted to become active since you'll be around other people who enjoy things like hiking, biking, and running. They say we pick up the habits of the people we surround ourselves with.

What happened to the Yoga for Active People class?

It's still here. It just got renamed to Active Recovery to better fit what is offered in the class: vinyasa mixed with myofascial release.

Will there be replays?

Replays are  included until a week after your last. If you’d like to upgrade your class to include the recordings past that time and receive additional content, you can do so for an extra fee.

Do I have to show up to all the classes?

No. However, you’ll get the most benefit if you do show up to (or watch the recording of) every one. Please note, in order to take advantage of our refund policy, you’ll need to show up to the first scheduled session.

I couldn’t make it to all the classes. Will I get refunded for the classes I missed?

No. All students sign up for all 8 weeks. By signing up, you’ve made the commitment to participate in the whole semester. Similar to going to college, if you miss class, you don’t get refunded your tuition. You have the option to watch the replays.

I signed up for an in person class. What happens if I can’t make it in person because I got sick, had travel plans, etc?

Anyone who signs up for an in person class also has the option to join online if they can’t make it for some reason. Just email us to let us know so we can send you the link. You also have the option to watch the replay. Please note, because of the small class size, we request that people who select “in person” are able to attend the majority of classes.

I’m interested in taking class in person. Where are you located?

In person classes will be held out of my home studio located by Drake Rd and Taft Hill Rd in Fort Collins, CO. If you sign up for in person classes, you will receive the exact address the day before your first day of class.

What are your covid precautions?

While in the studio, we’ll follow the current city guidelines regarding covid. Current guidelines require people to wear masks inside a business. There is a section of the order that allows people who are speaking to remove their mask in order to be heard as long as they’re 6 ft away from other people. I am fully vaccinated and will be removing my mask while I speak so the people in class (in person and online) can hear me. You also have the option to participate online.
